Too much Arsenal for Red Devils

It was another epic clash at Emirates when Arsenal faced Manchester United. Arsenal marched to victory with a 3-1 win over Red Devils.

The Gunners were ahead 2 minutes into the game courtesy of Nuno Tavares. United were shocked later as Nketiah netted in the 28th minute only for his goal to be ruled offside by VAR.

But that was not all.

There was a lengthy check by VAR which found that Saka was fouled in the box in the build up to Nketiah’s goal. Therefore, Nketiah’s goal was disallowed and penalty was given instead by VAR. Saka dispatched the penalty coolly to make it 2-0.

Ten minutes before the half, Ronaldo gave hope to the Red Devils with an easy tap in from Nemanja Matic’s cross to mark his 100th Premier League goal.

United blew away a huge chance to level the scores when Bruno Fernandes missed from the spot, his shot striking the left post. Aaron Ramsdale pulled off a couple of great saves first denying Anthony Elanga whose shot was towards the bottom left corner and also parrying Dalot’s strike onto the right post.

The final nail on the coffin was put by Granit Xhaka’s superb unstoppable effort from way out to make it 3-1 with twenty minutes left on the clock. The visitors were in disbelief as there form continued to nose dive. Full time 3-1.

Mikel Arteta’s men have a morale boost after beating Chelsea and now United to grab the fourth spot as they surge towards qualifying for Champions League.
