Golden State Warriors crowned 2021-2022 NBA Champions
It was a packed TD Garden at Boston when Celtics hosted Golden State Warriors for Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
Steph Curry’s 34 points led the Warriors to victory. Celtics point leader was Jaylen Brown with 34 points and to add on that veteran Al Horford had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. For the Warriors, Draymond Green had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds in the game.
Warriors shot 41.3% which was slightly lower than Celtics’ 42.5% in the court. However, their [Warriors] 3-point shooting was better as they made 19-of-46 shots beyond the arc translating to 41.3%.
Defensively both teams were astute as Warriors had 29 defensive rebounds and 13 steals in the match compared to Celtics’ 30 rebounds and 8 steals.
Celtics missed a single free throw in the match of 12 attempted whereas Warriors were perfect from the line making 8-of-8, 100%.
Celtics had to win to force Game 7 but Warriors had other ideas and that was to wrap up the series now and then. At one point, Celtics were cruising on the lead only for Warriors to comeback, take the lead and win the game.
Golden State Warriors won the Larry O’Brien trophy beating Celtics 103-90.
Congratulations Golden State Warriors, 2021-2022 NBA Champions!
