Daniel Bradbury wins Joburg Open
In his third professional appearance, rookie, Daniel Bradbury won the DP World Tour's Jo'burg Open by three strokes on Sunday. By taking advantage of a sponsor invitation, he also secured a spot at the British Open for the following year.
Sami Valimaki of Finland, who shot a fourth-round score of 69 to take second place at 18 under par, was unable to catch Bradbury, who finished the tournament with a total of 21 under par.
Bradbury began the competition with no status on any tour, but his opening round score of 63 set the tone for his victory as he led after every round. He now has a two-year exemption and a $165,000 winners' bonus.
