Arsenal 4-2-nate at The Bridge

Chelsea lost their third game at home courtesy of Eddie Nketiah’s brace in a thrilling clash.

It was a first half that was thrilling to watch as four goals were scored in half an hour into the game. It was ping pong of all sorts.

Eddie Nketiah was first to put Arsenal in the front foot when he pounced on a poor back pass by Andreas Christensen to put the ball past Edouard Mendy. The lead lasted four minutes as Timo Werner drew Chelsea level thanks to a deflection by Granit Xhaka.

It was first and furious as Emile Smith Rowe set up Martin Odegaard to calmly slot into the net from the edge of the box. Five minutes later, Chelsea’s captain Cesar Azpilicueta equalized for Chelsea to make it 2-2 going into the break.

Just before the hour mark, Gunners went ahead again thanks to Eddie Nketiah who poked the goal from close range. The match was then sealed at the death when Arsenal was given a late penalty which was dispatched coolly by Saka to make it 4-2 at full time.

Arsenal are now fourth with 60 points ,five points behind Chelsea who are third in the Premier League standings.
